In its factory color of Marina Blue, this beautiful El Camino Custom is not just another pretty face. Under the hood is its original 396 Big Block V8 managed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Rally wheels complete the look. The new interior sports black bucket seats, column mounted tach and even an NOS clock. An El Camino SS didn’t arrive on the scene until 1968. This is Its equivalent in 1966. Call Jordan (612) 290-9299 with any questions you may have. See the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7sbf3gWe0W. INTRO/HISTORY: Introduced in 1959 in response to Ford’s Ranchero, the El Camino has always been a popular classic and when equipped with Big Block power they are formidable competitors on the street. This ’66 is based on the Chevelle Malibu and has equal amounts of class, style and muscle. Marina Blue is especially striking on one of these and highlights those crisp lines perfectly. 1966 was the first year Chevy offered a 396 in the line-up and this beautiful example retains its original. The 4-speed adds value and fun. Clean and clear title. EXT: - Factory Marina Blue - SS396 hood with faux vents - 15-inch Rally wheels on BFG Redline tires - 396 Turbo-Jet crossed flags fender badges - Distinctive 1-yr only front-end styling - Muscular and sleek - Perfect stance and proportion INT: - Interior is new - Black vinyl bucket seats - Column mounted tach - NOS dash-mounted clock - Classic Q-ball Hurst shifter - Power steering & power brakes - Original AM/FM radio ENGINE: - Original 396 Turbo-Jet Big Block V8 - Standard bore with 360 hp - 4-speed manual transmission/ McLeod clutch - Howards cam, roller rockers - Holley quick fuel 4-barrel carb - Headers and dual exhaust - 12-bolt rear, 3.31 gears, Positraction CONDITION: - Paint is in very nice condition - Straight down the sides - Original factory color and original engine - Interior is new showing very little wear - Engine compartment is super clean - Very clean undercarriage - Safety checked and turn-key ready CLOSING: A base model ’66 El Camino featured a bench seat and rubber floor mats from the low-line Chevelle 300 series. This El Camino has the Custom package with an interior from the upscale Malibu featuring bucket seats and carpeting. Well optioned Big Block 4-speed El Caminos from this era are highly sought after and this one has all the right stuff. Chevelle had an SS in ’66, but an El Camino SS didn’t appear until 1968 which explains why this one has all the same attributes except SS badging. This beautiful Elko is rare and desirable.
