It features the matching numbers driveline and was in the same family for over 35 years. It's been featured in Mustang Monthly Magazine and is one of the cleanest Fastback Mustangs we've ever had the pleasure of owning. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of this Ford but first we would like to tell you a little about us. The body on it is all rock solid and we can see that the iconic bodylines come together beautifully. Affectionately known as the 2+2, the fastback Mustang is one of the most sought after and iconic Mustang's ever built. The stunning roof styling that gave way to interior vents is one of the most recognizable features ever tabbed by Ford. This '65 has been redone in the Poppy Red paint that is the factory option for it. It was redone in base coat clear coat and we can see that it has been polished to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. As you can see all the glass in this '65 is in remarkable condition and shows little to no flaws. All the of the seals and weather stripping are like new. Every piece of trim has been kept to a brilliant finish and it all has a great fit. Both the front and rear bumpers are like new. This car truly is stunning everywhere you look. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of Magnum 500 Wheels with BFGoodrich Tires. Next, we will look at the interior of this Fastback. On the inside it's done in the classic black which is also the factory option. Another factory option that you'll notice is the Air Condition and the Center Console that houses the Four Speed Shifter. The front bucket seats are like new along with the springs and padding, out back the rear bench seat is just as nice. We can also see that it folds down with a great fit and that all off the carpet in the cargo area is like new along with the trim. The front carpet is also like new and has a great fit. All the interior panels from the cargo area to the door panels are beautiful. The headliner in this mustang also has a great fit and is beautiful along with the visors. Looking at the dash we can see that it's like it would have been from the factory and that is just as impressive as the rest of the car. All the factory gauges are working as they should, and it retains the factory style steering wheel. Inside the trunk is al solid from the jam to the pan, and it has been detailed out with the trunk mat and spare. Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood it looks like it would have when it came off the showroom floor new. The inner fenders are all solid along with the firewall. This Mustang is powered by the matching numbers 289 V8 that is a factory A Code that's set up with the four-barrel intake and carb. It's dressed out in the factory air cleaner, and valve covers. As we mentioned above this is a Factory Air Conditioning optioned '65 and it's all there and working. For exhaust it has manifolds with the factory style pipes and muffler that exits out the back.
